Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 26, 2026 • Effective Immediately
Zero-Server Architecture: PrintPuzzler is built with privacy-first engineering. All geometric mazes, custom text masks, puzzle worksheets, and PDF renderings are computed 100% locally in your web browser. We do not store, view, or upload your puzzle content to any external server.

1. Introduction

Welcome to PrintPuzzler ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible via printpuzzler.com. We provide web-based educational tools designed for parents, teachers, homeschoolers, and activity book publishers to create printable puzzles and worksheets.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit our website, how it is used, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike traditional web applications, PrintPuzzler operates without mandatory user registrations or cloud databases:

  • No User Account Information: You do not need to register, log in, or provide your name, physical address, or phone number to generate or download mazes.
  • No Generated Puzzle Content: When you enter words, letters, difficulty preferences, or export PDF/ZIP files, the generation occurs solely in your browser's JavaScript engine (Client-side Canvas & jsPDF). None of your generated puzzles are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
  • No Financial Data: PrintPuzzler is currently free to use; we do not process, ask for, or collect credit card or payment data.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

When you access our website, certain non-identifying technical data is collected automatically to maintain site stability and improve user experience:

  • Log & Device Data: Web servers automatically record basic request data, such as your IP address, browser type and version, referring URL, time of request, and screen resolution.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): We utilize Google Analytics to understand overall traffic patterns, popular puzzle formats (e.g., Circular vs. Hexagonal mazes), and device categories (desktop vs. mobile). IP anonymization is enabled, ensuring your full IP address is not logged or combined with other personal identifiers.

4. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA Compliance)

Because our tools are widely used by educators and families with young children, we strictly adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child safety standards:

  • We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
  • There are no chat rooms, public profiles, message boards, or social community features that allow children to share identifying information publicly.
  • If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately, and we will take immediate steps to purge such data from our logs.

5. Cookies and Web Storage

PrintPuzzler uses minimal cookies and web storage mechanisms:

  • Essential Functional Storage: We may use your browser's LocalStorage or SessionStorage to store temporary session preferences (such as your last selected paper size or grid layout). This information never leaves your device.
  • Analytics Cookies: Cookies set by Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) distinguish unique visitors without collecting personally identifiable data. You can disable cookies at any time via your browser settings or by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Third-Party Libraries and CDNs

To deliver high performance and vector-grade printable downloads, our website loads certain scripts from public Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), including Cloudflare cdnjs (for jspdf and jszip). When your browser downloads these libraries, the CDN may log standard HTTP request metadata in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or State of California), you hold certain privacy rights:

  • The right to know what personal data is being processed.
  • The right to request the deletion or correction of your technical log records.
  • The right to opt-out of non-essential tracking cookies.

Because we do not maintain accounts or store identifiable records, we do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties or data brokers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological advancements, new puzzle generation features, or updated legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
